Miss Jiaqi began her journey in music at the tender age of six when she first took up the piano. Presently, she is advancing her academic career by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Music Theory, with a specialized emphasis on Piano Pedagogy at the esteemed University of North Texas. In addition to her rigorous studies, she is also serving as a teaching fellow at UNT, where she is responsible for instructing undergraduate students in aural skills courses, helping them develop their auditory perception and musical analysis. 

With a robust eight years of teaching experience under her belt, Miss Jiaqi offers comprehensive instruction across various disciplines, including piano performance, music theory, aural skills, and music appreciation. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in maintaining open lines of communication with her students, coupled with a relaxed and supportive teaching atmosphere that fosters creativity and confidence. 

Her diverse student base ranges from young preschoolers to adult learners, each benefiting from her tailored approach to instruction. Many of her students have not only excelled in competitive arenas, earning accolades and high placements, but have also achieved remarkable scores in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examinations, both in piano performance and music theory. Miss Jiaqi’s passion for teaching and dedication to her students’ success is clearly reflected in the outstanding results they achieve.
